Fitsona — Privacy Policy

Fitsona ("we," "us," or "the app") is a workout and nutrition tracking application. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Fitsona you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Account information — your email address and name, and the sign-in method you choose (email/password, Sign in with Apple, or Sign in with Google). If you use Apple's "Hide My Email," we receive only the relay address.
• Fitness & nutrition data you enter — workouts, exercises, sets and reps, cardio and activities, scheduled training, food and meal logs, recipes, water intake, body metrics (e.g. weight), and your goals and targets.
• Health data (with your permission) — if you connect Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android), we read metrics such as steps, active energy, heart rate, sleep, and weight to display activity and verify workouts. This access is optional and can be revoked at any time in your device settings.
• Social features — friend connections, messages, and content you choose to share (workouts, meals, recipes) with other users.
• Technical data — a push-notification token (if you enable notifications) and basic diagnostic information needed to operate the app.

How we use your information

• To provide and sync your workouts, nutrition logs, and progress across your devices.
• To personalize your targets and show your activity and history.
• To enable optional social features (friends, messaging, sharing).
• To send reminders and notifications you have enabled.
• To process subscriptions and provide support.
• To check and improve the accuracy and quality of the app's features, such as your calorie and macro targets.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your health or fitness data for advertising.

Improving Fitsona

We analyze information in your account — such as your food logs, weigh-ins, workouts, and the health and activity data you allow us to read — to operate, test and improve Fitsona's features, including the accuracy of your targets. This analysis takes place within Fitsona's own systems (Google Firebase, which processes data on our behalf). We do not sell your personal information, share it with third parties for their own purposes, or use it for advertising. When we publish results (for example, how accurate our targets are), we use only aggregated statistics that cannot identify you.

How your data is stored and shared

Your data is stored using Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Functions), operated by Google. We use the following additional services:

• Sign in with Apple and Sign in with Google — for authentication only.
• Apple HealthKit / Android Health Connect — to read the health metrics you authorize. Data obtained from these is used only to provide app features and is never used for advertising or sold.
• Apple App Store / Google Play Billing — to process subscriptions. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
• Nutrition databases — we query third-party food databases to look up nutrition facts; these lookups do not include your personal information.

We share data only as needed to provide these services, to comply with the law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by deleting your account in the app (Settings) or by emailing us at the address below. Upon request we will delete your personal data, except where we are required to retain it by law.

Security

We use industry-standard measures provided by Google Firebase to protect your data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to safeguard your information.

Children's privacy

Fitsona is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
